Peri peri steak and onions

The peri peri spice, onions and garlic give this dish its unique flavor.

  • ½ Onion, sliced
  • Oil
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • KNORR beef cubes, crumbled
  • Blended tomato, red pepper and chilli mix
  • Peri peri spice
  • Fresh thyme, chopped
  • Paprika
  • Sugar
  • Herbs
  • Coarse black pepper
  • 2 large or 4 small Steak – T Bone or sirloin, bought whole

Preparation Method

  • Fry the onion and garlic in the oil until lightly browned.
  • In a bowl, mix the crumbled KNORR beef cubes, peri peri spice, paprika, coarse black pepper, chopped thyme, herbs, sugar
  • Coat the steaks well with the spice mix and the fry in the same pan as the onion until browned
  • Add the chilli, tomato, pepper mix and herbs and simmer for 15 minutes
  • Serve with rice or chips
