Crunchy Chicken liver Salad

This salad recipe comes with a little yummy twist. Makes for a perfect light dinner dish.

  • Oil
  • 3 slices Bread, crust removed and cubed
  • Bacon, chopped
  • Chicken livers
  • Flour
  • Ground paprika
  • Knorr chicken cubes
  • Crushed chilli flakes
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cucumber, sliced
  • Dressing : Mayonnaise
  • Milk
  • Lemon juice
  • Ground paprika
  • Ground black pepper
  • Knorr chicken cubes
  • 1 fresh chilli chopped
  • Honey

Preparation Method

  • Cut the crusts off the bread, cube and fry in half the oil until golden to make croutons
  • Remove and place on paper towel to drain
  • In the same pan, fry the bacon until crispy – remove and drain on paper towel
  • Mix the flour, crumbled KNORR chicken cubes, paprika and chilli flakes in a bowl.
  • Toss the cleaned, halved chicken livers in the seasoned flour
  • Add the remaining oil to the pan and fry the chicken livers until they are done. Set aside
  • Arrange the lettuce, cucumber and cherry tomatoes on a salad platter
  • In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, milk, honey, chilli, black pepper, paprika, crumbled cubes and lemon juice together
  • Top the salad with the chicken liver, then the bacon and lastly the croutons
  • Drizzle with salad dressing and serve extra on the side
