Spicy Chicken Livers with Spinach

Take a break from your regular sauces/stews and try out this recipe with your rice or bread.

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Chicken Livers, cleaned
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Medium curry powder
  • Ground peri peri
  • Ground paprika
  • Coarse ground black pepper
  • KNORR chicken cubes
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • Spinach, finely chopped

Preparation Method

  • Heat the oil in the pan and brown the livers. Set aside
  • In the same pan, fry the onions, garlic and chillies
  • Add the curry powder , paprika and peri peri and fry for 2 minutes
  • Add the tomato, crumbled KNORR chicken stock and black pepper and simmer for 5 minutes
  • Stir in the chopped spinach and simmer for a further 5 minutes
  • Stir in the livers and simmer for 2 minutes
  • Serve with bread or rice
